We have a robust athletic program at Oak Hill Academy, and students interested in participating in athletics can choose from a variety of teams. These student-athletes engage in interscholastic competition with integrity and a spirit that honors the high standards of our school.

Through team participation, our students learn a range of important life lessons, including the values of good sportsmanship, self-discipline, perseverance, and dedication. In our athletic program, we value spirited, fair play, and we have an appreciation for playing to win. Our student-athletes strive to be gracious in victory and in defeat.

“Oak Hill Academy changed my whole life. If I had stayed back in Baltimore with school, I probably would not be here right now.”

National and Regional Success

We have a proud heritage of athletic achievement at Oak Hill. Our coed equestrian team competes in horse shows across the southeast, and our Gold varsity basketball team is recognized nationally, as it has been for more than thirty-five years.

Participation Requirements

We see immense value in interscholastic athletics, and we encourage—but don’t require—students to participate. Students with extracurricular interests outside of athletics can participate in any of our numerous Activities & Clubs.
